Membership Classifications & Privileges
Golf
Our Golf Memberships include all the amenities of the Club. The amenities that our golf members can take advantage of include Golf, Tennis, Spas, Pools, Private Dining, and Social Events. Golf at The Woodlands includes golf on three member courses: Palmer, Tournament, and Player. Our members also have access to the play two courses at Canongate at The Woodlands, Panther Trail and The Oaks, as well as Canongate at Lake Windcrest in Magnolia, TX and Canongate at Magnolia Creek in League City, TX.
Corporate Golf
Memberships for Golf, as well as Tennis and Health and Social classifications, may be obtained in the name of a corporation. The designee may be changed from time to time, subject to the designee being approved by the Club, and the payment of a $1,500 redesignation fee. Corporate memberships are designated to one person in the Corporation. Corporations that purchase three or more memberships receive a discount on the initiation fee; these memberships are then classified as Multi-Corporate. This membership also includes all the amenities of the Club.
Young Adult Golf
Our Young Adult Golf Memberships are for Young Adults beginning at age 21 until the age of 36 who are looking for a unique golfing and club experience. It includes all amenities of the Club.
Senior Golf
Our Senior Golf Memberships are for mature adults ages 60 and up. Senior Golf memberships offer full club amenities.
Sports
Sports members have full access to Tennis and Health/Social amenities of the Club. The Tennis amenities are for the competitive or social player to enjoy a great tennis atmosphere as well as an eventful club life. There is a 21 court tennis center which includes 4 indoor courts and 17 outdoor courts with both clay and hard surfaces. In addition to Tennis, Sports members enjoy all the amenities of The Palmer clubhouse, equipped with a co-ed fitness center, recreational swimming pool, Men's and Ladies Locker Rooms and a member dining restaurant called the Palmer Grill which is open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Sunday. In addition, The East Course Clubhouse features Mens and Ladies Locker Rooms and a beautiful dining room to enjoy lunch with a spectacular view of the course. The club also hosts a full calendar of member social events.
Additional Information
1) A partial refund of the Golf membership initiation fee may be offered if a qualifying member is relocating their residence and their employment outside Montgomery County, Texas and contiguous counties and will reside and be employed more than 75 miles from the Club site. The Club must qualify the member for the refund. If the membership is canceled due to relocation within 3 years from the date of application, the member may qualify for a partial refund in the amount of 20% of the initiation fee paid. If the member is relocated within 2 years then the partial refund is 30% and within 1 year the partial refund is 40% of the initiation fee paid.
(2) Senior Golf is subject to time and use restrictions as set forth in the Rules and Regulations. Current club members at age 60 and older in all membership classifications (except Young Adult and Non-Resident Golf) are eligible to apply for a discounted monthly dues rate by making application through the Club membership office. The Senior Discount on golf will be granted only to golf members who subscribe to the restricted tee time plan.
